This control over the sisters pose a huge problem for the men in their lives. The oldest sister played by Gabrielle Union has been and continues to be the controlling big sister that the other younger sisters simply idolize. These women are loving sisters who have an extremely tight and unbreakable bond with each other. The movie Deliver Us From Eva is centered around the Dandrige sisters whose characters are played by Gabriele Union, Megan Good, Essence Atkins, and Robinne Lee. These characters add continued humor throughout this film. Supporting cast members in the film are played by Kym Whitley, Royale Watkins, Dorian Gregory, and Kenya Moore. Towards the end of the film there is both a funeral and a revelation. They then conjure up yet another scheme which requires that they kidnap LL Cool J 's character and make Eva believe that he is dead.
This is information that the conspiring men were not privy to until later. Eva has been offered a job which would require her to relocate. After much pursuing he finally wins her over and they become a couple. The irresistible man who is played by James Todd Smith (AKA LL Cool J) takes on the challenge but soon finds out that winning Eva's heart is not going to be as easy as he originally thought. Out of sheer desperation the men get together and plot to hire an irresistible ladies man to woo eva in an effort to get her out of their hair. Not to mention access to the Dandrige fund which they have been putting money into since they were young girls. The tortured men played by Mel Jackson, Duane Martin, and Dartanyan Edmonds feel that Eva is the reason that they are not able to get their wives full attention.
